This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Take charge of the comprehensive execution of large-scale GPU/HPC cluster deployments, overseeing everything from deployment readiness and physical installation to network and compute bring-up, provisioning, QA/QC, cluster integration, validation, burn-in, production acceptance, and operational handoff.
• Develop an organization capable of executing multiple deployments concurrently while upholding consistent engineering and quality standards.
• Implement approved engineering packages in accordance with reference architecture, bills of materials, topologies, rack and cabling standards, network configurations, firmware and software versions, provisioning workflows, QA/QC requirements, validation procedures, and production acceptance criteria.
• Ensure delivery aligns with committed GPU capacity dates by creating deployment plans, milestones, critical paths, dependencies, site-readiness criteria, and delivery forecasts.
• Identify potential risks and manage mitigation and recovery strategies across data center, supply chain, networking, compute, storage, software, vendors, and operations.
• Oversee QA/QC throughout the large-scale deployment lifecycle, monitoring first-pass yield, defects, rework, quality escapes, and production acceptance.
• Establish a standardized deployment factory across various locations, enhancing throughput, cycle time, first-pass quality, predictability, automation, and repeatability.
• Promote an automation-first approach that encompasses readiness checks, hardware discovery, network configuration, firmware and BIOS validation, bare-metal provisioning, cluster configuration, connectivity validation, GPU health checks, performance testing, QA/QC, burn-in, and production acceptance.
• Create feedback mechanisms from scaled deployment into NPI and engineering by documenting defects, automation gaps, hardware-quality issues, vendor concerns, performance anomalies, and bottlenecks.
• Ensure that delivered clusters meet engineering, quality, performance, reliability, and operational acceptance criteria, and are stable, observable, supportable, and ready for production workloads.
• Build and lead a substantial multidisciplinary organization that encompasses HPC/GPU deployment, network deployment, cluster integration, systems engineering, infrastructure automation, QA/QC, validation engineering, site leadership, and technical program management.
• A minimum of 15 years of experience in infrastructure, HPC, cloud, networking, data center, or large-scale distributed systems, including at least 8 years in leadership roles within large technical organizations.
• Proven experience in executing multiple complex infrastructure deployments simultaneously and successfully meeting aggressive capacity commitments.
• Strong operational discipline related to scheduling, quality, metrics, risk management, forecasting, and cross-functional execution.
• In-depth understanding of GPU-based computing infrastructure and high-performance networking, including InfiniBand and/or Ethernet/RoCE.
• Experience in establishing or managing QA/QC, commissioning, validation, burn-in, and production acceptance processes at scale.
• Background in developing repeatable deployment processes, automation, standardized operating models, and global or multi-site delivery capabilities.
• Must possess authorization to work in the United States.
• Total Compensation package includes an annual incentive bonus and equity (long-term incentive).
• 100% company-sponsored health insurance premiums (medical, dental, and vision) for employees, with 75% company-funded coverage for dependents.
• Company-funded short-term and long-term disability insurance.
• Voluntary life, critical illness, and accident coverage options available.
• Health Savings Accounts (HSA) available when paired with the High Deductible Health Plan.
• Employee Assistance Program and wellness resources offered.
• 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions.
• Access to financial planning and legal services.
• Paid Time Off (PTO) along with paid holidays.
• Internal skills training and pathways for advancement.
• Support for professional development including certifications, continuing education, or role-related training.
