This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead, transform, and modernize the comprehensive global payroll function across more than 30 countries by employing a hybrid delivery model that includes in-house payroll processing and third-party payroll partners.
• Ensure that payroll processing is timely, accurate, and compliant across all regions.
• Establish uniform global payroll standards while accommodating local statutory requirements.
• Act as the owner of payroll governance, controls, and operational excellence.
• Identify opportunities to streamline, standardize, and automate payroll processes on a global scale.
• Lead continuous process improvement initiatives aimed at reducing manual tasks, enhancing controls, and improving employee experience.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions for recurring payroll challenges.
• Oversee any payroll technology initiatives, including the optimization of Dayforce and third-party payroll providers.
• Collaborate with HRIS to enhance integration, data quality, reporting, and automation.
• Utilize technology to boost efficiency, controls, employee self-service, and payroll accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with global payroll regulations, tax obligations, wage and hour laws, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Manage the payroll control environment, ensuring adherence to SOX requirements and internal audit standards.
• Develop, maintain, and continually enhance payroll policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Partner with Internal Audit and external auditors during audits and compliance reviews.
• Build, develop, and motivate a high-performing global payroll organization.
• Evaluate organizational capabilities and lead team restructuring to enhance effectiveness, scalability, and accountability.
• Set clear performance expectations while coaching and developing the team.
• Cultivate a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Over 10 years of progressive payroll leadership experience, including global payroll responsibilities across multiple countries.
• Proven experience in leading payroll organizations within multinational companies.
• Extensive expertise in implementing and optimizing Dayforce Payroll or similar global HCM/payroll platforms.
• A strong track record in leading process improvement, automation, and payroll transformation initiatives.
• In-depth understanding of global payroll compliance, tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements.
• A strategic thinker capable of actively addressing operational challenges.
• Experience in restructuring organizations and building high-performing payroll teams.
• Experience in managing third-party payroll providers and global vendor relationships.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities at once.
