This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.
• Prepare, assess, and disseminate payroll-related reports, which include compensation, taxes, garnishments, deductions, earnings registers, payroll files, and both recurring and ad hoc reports.
• Distribute annual W-2 forms to employees.
• Address payroll inquiries from employees and managers, investigate issues, and deliver prompt resolutions.
• Identify gaps in payroll processes and contribute to the efficient, accurate, and compliant execution of payroll operations.
• Conduct payroll data audits, pinpoint discrepancies, and ensure accurate maintenance of employee and payroll records.
• Adhere to SOX controls and maintain documentation that supports payroll accuracy, audit preparedness, and compliance.
• Enter, review, audit, correct, and transmit payroll data.
• Calculate and prepare on-cycle and off-cycle payroll payments, including final pay, stock options, commissions, and supplemental payments.
• Complete electronic filing of payroll-related documents and keep organized payroll records.
• Research, analyze, and resolve payroll tax issues while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Maintain time punches and payroll inputs within the time management system.
• Provide support for timekeeping and scheduling modules through troubleshooting, guidance, and process assistance.
• Process garnishments, levies, bankruptcies, and child support wage assignments.
• Over 5 years of experience in processing full-cycle US payroll for more than 500 employees, including multi-jurisdictional payroll.
• Strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• More than 1 year of experience with Workday payroll is preferred, or 2+ years of experience with another US payroll system.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, including overtime regulations.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel, encompassing formulas, data validation, reconciliations, and payroll-related analyses.
• Capacity to safeguard confidential employee and payroll information.
• Ability to troubleshoot challenges, propose practical solutions, and ensure follow-through on resolutions.
• Strong communication, follow-up, and task-sharing capabilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Capacity to understand, document, and enhance payroll-related business processes.
• Experience collaborating with global and/or US-based business teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
