This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more states.
• Collaborate directly with clients to gain insights into Canadian payroll and HR business processes, requirements, and goals.
• Assist clients in the implementation and processing of Canadian payroll within ERP and HR/payroll systems.
• Offer guidance on system utilization, payroll regulations, and standard operating procedures.
• Leverage knowledge of Canadian federal and provincial payroll regulations to create compliant payroll processes and system configurations.
• Diagnose payroll and system issues, identify root causes, and escalate technical problems as necessary.
• Provide proactive assistance during payroll deadlines, year-end reporting, and changes in regulations.
• Deliver client training sessions or refresher courses on payroll tools, processes, Canadian payroll regulations, and system updates.
• Work closely with implementation teams to ensure a seamless transition to ongoing client support.
• Stay updated on Canadian payroll legislation, regulatory requirements, and enhancements to technology platforms.
• Ensure accurate maintenance of client documentation, call logs, configurations, and case progress updates.
• Over 3 years of experience in Canadian payroll.
• Strong grasp of Canadian payroll processes, requirements, and compliance standards.
• Familiarity with Canadian federal and provincial payroll requirements and the ability to apply them within payroll or ERP systems.
• Experience in payroll and/or HR systems in roles such as implementation, consulting, systems, or client-facing capacities.
• Proven experience supporting or implementing payroll for Canadian organizations.
• Experience across multiple provinces is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of Paymate, ADP Canada, or comparable payroll platforms is essential.
• Experience with Rippling, Payworks, and Dayforce is a significant advantage.
• Capacity to manage multiple projects or client implementations concurrently.
• Comfortable engaging with clients via video, phone, email, and remote collaboration tools.
• Outstanding communication, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Eagerness and capability to learn new technology platforms, along with obtaining Intacct and Sage HCM certifications.
• Payroll certification such as PCP, CPM, FPC, or CPP, or the willingness to pursue relevant certification is preferred.
• Familiarity with Construction Payroll, including Union and Prevailing Wage, is desirable.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US or Canada; sponsorship is not available.
