
Senior Director, Global Commercial Content Ecosystem

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop, establish, and take ownership of the enterprise strategy and vision for the upstream content ecosystem, which includes MLR, DAM, CAT, and various integrations.
• Create infrastructure that facilitates modular content reuse, scalability, faster speed-to-market, regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and user-centric experiences.
• Position DAM as the definitive source of truth and ensure the ecosystem is aligned with end users' needs.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to synchronize platform strategy with digital, marketing, and business objectives.
• Design and lead the commercial roadmap for ongoing improvements.
• Define and monitor enterprise KPIs related to adoption, engagement, cycle-time reduction, content reuse, efficiency improvements, and process streamlining.
• Recognize and prioritize innovation opportunities, including AI-enhanced workflows, automation, and intelligent metadata.
• Establish and enforce governance frameworks, workflow controls, permission protocols, metadata standards, and taxonomy discipline.
• Collaborate with Legal, Regulatory, Compliance, and IT stakeholders.
• Oversee the multi-year investment portfolio for the content ecosystem and develop business cases along with value realization strategies.
• Track platform adoption, workflow efficiency, bottlenecks, and maintain metadata quality and integrity.
• Drive continuous improvement through enhancements to the platform, process optimization, and integration maturity.
• Lead the enterprise content governance council and create frameworks for stakeholder decision-making.
• Present strategic recommendations, roadmap decisions, and performance metrics to executive leadership.
• Advocate for content operations requirements and priorities with IT and ensure accountability among internal and external partners.
• Lead and cultivate a team of business process owners and/or operational specialists.
• Build organizational capability in platform utilization, content operations, change management, and user adoption.
• Promote a product-centric mindset across the organization.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise metadata and taxonomy frameworks.
• Supervise content and metadata integrity and its flow across various systems.
• Enable reporting and analytics through organized, governed data.
• Collaborate with IT to advance the content data model and integration strategy.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• An advanced degree (or equivalent) is preferred.
• At least 12 years of experience in content operations, business processes, or digital content ecosystems.
• A combination of relevant experience and/or education will be considered.
• Proven leadership experience in managing teams and enterprise platforms.
• Extensive experience with DAM, MLR, and/or content lifecycle platforms such as Veeva or Aprimo.
• Strong experience in regulated environments, preferably in pharmaceuticals.
• Demonstrated ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
• Experience fostering cross-functional alignment in complex, global organizations.
• Strong collaboration with IT platform owners.
• Strategic leadership with robust business and digital acumen.
• An enterprise product mindset and value-driven decision-making capabilities.
• Skills in engaging and influencing executive stakeholders.
• Comprehensive understanding of content lifecycle, governance, and compliance.
• A data-driven and analytical approach to managing performance.
• Ability to navigate complexity and drive organizational change.
• Willingness to travel internationally, approximately 20% of the time.
• Proficiency in speaking, understanding, reading, and writing in English is required.
