Senior Director, Finance – IT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and oversee a multi-year strategy and roadmap for Finance IT technology.

• Act as the main technology collaborator for Finance leadership within Controllership, FP&A, Accounting, Treasury, and Procurement.

• Guide the rationalization, consolidation, modernization, and application/SKU optimization of the Finance technology portfolio.

• Manage the comprehensive delivery of Finance technology implementations, upgrades, integrations, and enhancements.

• Facilitate Agile and hybrid project execution, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.

• Take ownership of governance and reporting for Finance IT initiatives.

• Guarantee availability, performance, reliability, SLA management, incident response, triage, and root-cause analysis for Finance platforms.

• Supervise technology related to R2R, S2P, asset accounting, payroll, O2C, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analytics.

• Spearhead finance technology transformation, including close automation, AI-assisted reconciliation, intelligent procurement, and Generative AI/Copilot projects.

• Keep abreast of Finance technology trends, vendor roadmaps, technology radar, license assessments, and build/buy/partner evaluations.

• Lead, mentor, and nurture a global Finance IT team.

• Administer relationships with vendors, system integrators, and platform partners.

• Direct the strategy and delivery of Legal and Compliance systems, including Ironclad CLM and associated integrations.

• Enhance end-user adoption through role-based training, change impact assessments, communications, KPIs, and feedback mechanisms.

• Manage the Finance IT testing strategy and governance encompassing unit, integration, regression, UAT, and parallel-run testing.

• Oversee Finance IT General Controls and SOX compliance, focusing on change management, access controls, audit support, SoD, and continuous controls monitoring.

⛳️ Requirements

• 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in technology.

• 5+ years in a Finance IT or ERP leadership position.

• Extensive knowledge of Workday Financials, including Workday Accounting Center, implementation, and post-production operations.

• Proven experience in leading complex, multi-workstream Finance technology programs within a global organization.

• Strong understanding of R2R, S2P, AP, O2C, Asset Accounting, Payroll, and FP&A processes.

• Familiarity with financial close platforms like BlackLine and planning/budgeting tools such as Oracle ePBCS or equivalent.

• Experience in leading and developing diverse, globally distributed technology teams.

• Ability to strategically partner with Finance executives while maintaining accountability for delivery.

• In-depth knowledge of SOX controls, financial compliance, and technology audit requirements.

• Proficient in Finance technology, including platform utilization, application rationalization, industry trends, vendor strategy, and emerging AI capabilities.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.

• Preferred: Workday Finance certifications or implementation credentials.

• Preferred: Experience with Lucernex or similar lease accounting platforms.

• Preferred: Hands-on experience with Ironclad CLM or similar CLM platforms and integrations with Salesforce and Finance systems.

• Preferred: Experience in supporting Legal Operations or Compliance technology functions.

• Preferred: Exposure to AI/ML use cases in finance automation.

• Preferred: MBA or advanced degree.

• Preferred: Experience in a SaaS, high-growth technology, or supply chain software organization.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Agentforce, Microsoft Copilot, or Workday AI in a Finance context.
