This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Recruit, onboard, train, and lead a national team of Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs), establishing a field medical function prepared for launch readiness.
β’ Define and implement the field medical operating model, which includes territory design, call planning frameworks, engagement metrics, and performance standards.
β’ Act as a player-coach, maintaining a personal portfolio of national and academic KOL relationships while guiding the team's strategic engagement initiatives.
β’ Collaborate on the development and execution of the Medical Affairs Launch Plan with the VP of Medical Affairs, ensuring alignment with commercial, clinical, and regulatory timelines.
β’ Establish a pre-launch KOL identification and mapping strategy, ensuring MSLs engage with key academic centers, community practices, and emerging thought leaders prior to approval.
β’ Oversee strategic KOL engagement across the full spectrum, from academic opinion leaders to community-based key practitioners.
β’ Partner with Medical Affairs leadership to design and implement MSL onboarding and continuous training programs, covering therapeutic area expertise, product data, and engagement skills.
β’ Advanced degree required: PharmD, MD, PhD, or an equivalent qualification in a relevant life sciences field.
β’ Over 10 years of experience in Medical Affairs, with a minimum of 3β5 years in direct MSL leadership or field medical management.
β’ Proven success in developing and managing KOL relationships at a national level.
β’ In-depth knowledge of MSL best practices, field medical compliance standards, and OPDP/regulatory guidelines governing scientific exchange.
β’ Outstanding scientific communication skills β capable of translating complex data into engaging, compliant discussions.
β’ Experience in a Therapeutic Area, such as oncology, rare disease, or immunology.
β’ Familiarity with field force effectiveness tools (e.g., Veeva CRM, Salesforce Health Cloud).
