• Taking ownership of and executing the comprehensive commercial strategy for the Education vertical across North America.
• Fostering revenue growth, developing pipelines, and executing deals within designated Education segments.
• Leading, mentoring, and nurturing a team of over 12 direct and indirect reports to achieve consistent performance.
• Acting as the principal internal leader and external representative for HID within Education markets.
• Collaborating across functions to provide scalable PACS, Mercury-based, and mobile-enabled access solutions.
• Establishing priorities, segmentation, and go-to-market focus for the Education vertical in alignment with HID PACS and Mercury platforms.
• Serving as the senior internal advocate for Education markets, offering insights into customer needs, purchasing behaviors, and competitive landscapes.
• Ensuring HID solutions are scalable across enterprise, multi-site, and global education settings.
• Guiding and developing Directors, Senior Business Development Managers, and Business Development Managers.
• Setting performance expectations, KPIs, and individual development plans to promote accountability and growth.
• Collaborating with Sales leadership and HR on hiring, onboarding, succession planning, and talent development initiatives.
• Cultivating a collaborative, enterprise-focused selling culture across various functions.
• Driving the creation of pipelines, progression of opportunities, and achievement of revenue targets in Education verticals.
• Overseeing strategy and execution for mobile engagement adoption, positioning mobile credentials as a natural extension of traditional PACS and Mercury systems.
• Ensuring that commercial messaging emphasizes operational efficiency, security, scalability, and user experience.
• Directly supporting large, intricate enterprise opportunities and engaging executive stakeholders as necessary.
• Collaborating with Marketing on Education-specific messaging, thought leadership, and demand generation initiatives.
• Partnering with Product and Technology teams to influence roadmaps that support large-scale education deployments.
• Enhancing relationships with consultants, system integrators, and strategic technology partners.
• Representing HID at industry events, customer briefings, and strategic partner engagements.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Over 10 years of experience in physical security, access control, or enterprise security solutions.
• At least 5 years of experience in people management.
• Proven track record in leading and scaling large, high-performing teams (12+ individuals).
• Strong knowledge of enterprise PACS environments, including traditional access control and Mercury-based architectures.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders and extended sales cycles.
• Executive-level communication capabilities with the ability to engage CIOs, CISOs, Facilities, Operations, and line-of-business leaders.
• Willingness and capacity to travel extensively across North America.
• An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
• Experience in selling within Education verticals (K–12, Higher Education, or large campus environments).
• Familiarity with mobile credentials, digital identity, or cloud-enabled access strategies.
• Proven experience in influencing product or technology roadmaps.
