Senior Director, End User Business Development – Commercial Markets

📋 Description

• Crafting and implementing the comprehensive commercial markets strategy for designated verticals.

• Leading, mentoring, and nurturing a sizable, high-performing team focused on commercial end-user markets.

• Driving the development of pipelines, enhancing revenue growth, and executing enterprise-level sales strategies.

• Collaborating cross-departmentally to provide scalable PACS, Mercury-based, and mobile-enabled access solutions.

• Overseeing and executing the overall commercial markets strategy spanning Technology, Financial Services, Commercial Real Estate, Retail, and Logistics.

• Defining vertical priorities, segmentation, and go-to-market strategies in alignment with HID PACS and Mercury frameworks.

• Acting as the primary internal advocate for Commercial Markets, offering insights into customer requirements, purchasing behaviors, and competitive landscapes.

• Ensuring that HID solutions are scalable across enterprise, multi-site, and global commercial implementations.

• Leading, mentoring, and developing over 12 direct and indirect reports, including Directors, Senior Business Development Managers, and Business Development Managers.

• Setting clear performance expectations, KPIs, and development plans to foster accountability and engagement.

• Collaborating with Sales leadership and HR on recruitment, onboarding, talent development, and succession planning.

• Promoting a collaborative, inclusive, and performance-oriented culture that aligns with enterprise selling strategies.

• Driving demand generation, pipeline expansion, deal progression, and revenue performance across commercial sectors.

• Leading the commercial strategy for mobile engagement adoption, integrating mobile credentials and digital identity with traditional PACS and Mercury systems.

• Ensuring that value-based messaging aligns security, operational efficiency, scalability, and user experience.

• Providing executive-level support for complex enterprise opportunities as needed.

• Collaborating with Marketing to create vertical-specific messaging, thought leadership, and demand generation initiatives.

• Working with Product and Technology teams to influence the roadmap priorities for large-scale commercial implementations.

• Building and enhancing relationships with consultants, systems integrators, and strategic technology partners.

• Representing HID at industry events, customer briefings, and partner interactions.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree is required.

• Over 10 years of experience in physical security, access control, or enterprise security solutions.

• More than 5 years of experience in people management.

• Demonstrated ability to lead and expand large, high-performing teams (12+ employees).

• Strong knowledge of enterprise PACS environments, encompassing traditional access control and Mercury-based architectures.

• Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with extended lead times.

• Capability to develop and implement go-to-market strategies across various commercial verticals.

• Executive-level communication and presentation abilities.

• Willingness to travel throughout North America.

• An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.

• Experience in influencing product roadmaps and technology strategies in collaboration with engineering teams is preferred.

• Familiarity with mobile credentials, digital identity, or mobile-enabled access strategies is preferred.

• Experience working with enterprise clients, global deployments, and matrixed organizations is preferred.
