This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +8 more states.
• Take responsibility for the data science and applied AI strategy for G&A, which includes agentic systems, forecasting, lead scoring, and decision support.
• Develop agents and AI workflows that forecast and act to enhance throughput, reliability, and unit economics.
• Lead, recruit, and cultivate a data science and analytics team.
• Establish benchmarks for technical excellence, assessment, and production standards.
• Collaborate with operations and product leadership to pinpoint high-impact challenges and convert them into actionable decisions and deployed AI functionalities.
• Supervise the finance analytics team that supports accounting, FP&A, and pricing functions.
• Work together with data engineering, machine learning engineering, and platform teams on infrastructure, data integrity, orchestration, tools, and guidelines.
• Present insights and recommendations to executive stakeholders.
• Advocate for an AI- and agent-centric approach to work, which includes hands-on technical leadership and development of agentic systems.
• Over 8 years of experience in data science or applied AI/ML.
• More than 5 years of experience leading and developing teams.
• Strong experience in managing analytics teams.
• Proven ability to influence internal operational decisions utilizing ML systems like forecasts and lead scores.
• Solid foundation in statistics and machine learning.
• Expertise in LLMs, agentic systems, orchestration, tool usage, MCP, retrieval, and evaluation methodologies.
• Demonstrated analytical expertise that drives decisions through comprehensive analysis.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Familiarity with contemporary data and AI technologies, including cloud warehouses, dbt, and LLM/agent deployment pipelines.
• Capability to collaborate with non-technical executives and effectively translate vague business challenges into actionable tasks.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, data-rich environment with operational and financial implications.
• Experience in B2B SaaS, marketplace, logistics, or field operations is a plus.
