This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate closely with the Co-CEOs as the primary contact for day-to-day corporate matters, including leases, licensing agreements, and strategic partnerships.
• Identify and structure partnerships that align with revenue and growth goals.
• Draft and negotiate deals from inception to completion, including structuring commercial and investment terms.
• Develop the financial models and budgets that support each deal, focusing on valuation and analysis.
• Simplify complex deals into concise presentations, providing clear analysis and a compelling narrative.
• Assess new business channels and opportunities for strategic acquisitions.
• Conduct due diligence on active deals, collaborating with Finance, internal Legal, and external counsel.
• Act as a liaison among business, Finance, and Legal teams.
• Establish and maintain deal systems, including templates, trackers, and redline logs.
• Manage the partnership operating rhythm and governance on behalf of the Co-CEOs.
• Take ownership of KPI tracking and reporting for the partnership portfolio.
• Handle a high-volume partnership pipeline effectively.
• Cultivate and invest in a network of bankers, agents, licensors, and platform partners.
• Collaborate closely with Gwyn, the Co-CEOs, and cross-functional teams.
• Lead post-deal integration to ensure execution aligns with established objectives.
• Work with brand leadership to shape external positioning strategies.
• Manage company risks while promoting growth.
• Prepare for and safeguard the Co-CEOs' time.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate development, M&A, investment banking, business affairs, corporate affairs, or strategic partnerships, preferably within wellness, beauty, lifestyle, or consumer media.
• Proven success in sourcing, structuring, negotiating, and finalizing complex, high-value deals throughout the entire transaction lifecycle.
• In-depth understanding of deal mechanics, including term sheets, cap tables, waterfalls, and earn-out/joint-venture structures.
• Strong financial aptitude with hands-on experience in creating financial models, valuations, and scenario analyses.
• Good judgment regarding business strategy versus unnecessary legal complexities.
• Experience managing due diligence processes from start to finish.
• Ability to read social cues and value relationships: extensive connections across brand, retail, platform, and media sectors.
• Comfortable working in a lean, startup environment.
• Process-oriented with a focus on templates and systems.
• Possess an entrepreneurial or intrapreneurial mindset.
• Capable of communicating sharply and efficiently.
• Outstanding negotiation, communication, and presentation capabilities.
• Exhibits exceptionally high judgment and integrity.
• Experience collaborating across international markets and managing cross-border deal dynamics.
• Proficient with AI tools and technologies: comfortable using Notion, Claude, and ChatGPT.
