Senior Director, Consumer Intelligence & Strategy

📋 Description

• Define and spearhead the consumer intelligence strategy for OLLY/SPV along with a multi-year enterprise intelligence agenda.

• Act as the voice and advocate for the consumer within the organization.

• Convert consumer, shopper, cultural, commercial, and business intelligence into actionable recommendations that influence brand strategy, innovation, campaigns, investments, and growth.

• Collaborate with leadership teams to uncover strategic opportunities, assess risks, and establish future growth platforms.

• Direct brand, innovation, and commercial strategies through a deep understanding of consumer insights and foresight.

• Recognize emerging consumer needs, cultural shifts, category trends, and whitespace opportunities.

• Lead the strategic integration of research, analytics, trend intelligence, and business performance.

• Support the development of an innovation pipeline by identifying unmet needs and potential opportunities.

• Create measurement frameworks across marketing, innovation, retail, and commercial initiatives.

• Steer analytics-driven decisions affecting brand, shopper, eCommerce, and commercial performance.

• Oversee learning agendas focused on marketing effectiveness, consumer behavior, growth drivers, and overall business performance.

• Collaborate with Sales, Category Management, RGM, eCommerce, and Finance to translate insights into actionable retail growth plans.

• Lead OLLY/SPV's transition into an AI-first intelligence organization.

• Develop and expand AI-enabled capabilities, including predictive intelligence, signal detection, automated synthesis, and knowledge management systems.

• Establish tools, systems, and methodologies that enhance the speed of learning and access to intelligence.

• Test and implement emerging technologies and methodologies.

• Cultivate OLLY/SPV's enterprise learning advantage.

• Lead and nurture a high-performing team in consumer insights, analytics, foresight, and intelligence capabilities.

• Set priorities, mentor talent, and align insights resources for OLLY and SPV.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in consumer insights, strategy, analytics, innovation, consulting, marketing, or related fields.

• Strong business acumen combined with excellent senior stakeholder partnership skills.

• Proven ability to build consensus and drive actionable initiatives.

• Capability to translate consumer insights into strategic priorities and measurable business outcomes.

• Established track record of defining and leading a consumer intelligence strategy alongside a multi-year enterprise intelligence agenda.

• In-depth expertise in consumer insights, shopper behavior, market dynamics, and growth strategies.

• Skill in connecting consumer trends, category opportunities, and commercial realities to discover future growth avenues.

• Demonstrated success in transforming insights into practical recommendations that shape brand, innovation, and business strategies.

• Strong analytical skills across various data sources, measurement frameworks, and business performance assessments.

• Ability to synthesize consumer, cultural, technological, and business signals into actionable foresight.

• Proven experience in leading the transformation of an insights or analytics function into an AI-enabled intelligence organization.

• Eagerness to explore emerging technologies and challenge traditional research methodologies.

• Proven capability to lead high-performing teams and influence decisions at the enterprise level.

• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills tailored for senior audiences.

• Highly collaborative and influential among diverse stakeholders.

• Strategic, inquisitive, growth-oriented, and results-focused.

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity while providing clarity and direction for decisions.

• Able to proactively identify opportunities, risks, and recommendations.

• Must possess authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
