Senior Director, Commercial and Marketing Technology Platforms

📋 Description

• Assist the VP of Enterprise, Commercial, Quality Strategy, and Technology Platforms in establishing the strategy, vision, and multi-year roadmap for commercial and marketing technology platforms.

• Cultivate and uphold robust strategic relationships with Commercial and Marketing business leaders, acting as the primary IT liaison for platform requirements and priorities.

• Manage the complete lifecycle of commercial and marketing technology platforms, including CRM, marketing automation, proposal management, and digital engagement tools.

• Promote the consistent adoption of product management practices and agile methodologies across the commercial technology product teams.

• Supervise demand management and capacity planning for commercial platform projects and product teams, ensuring alignment with business priorities and technical specifications.

• Create, oversee, and evaluate annual budgets for commercial technology platform projects and operations, enforcing fiscal discipline through regular budget versus actual assessments and suggesting corrective actions as necessary.

• Manage vendor partnerships for commercial technology platforms, encompassing contract negotiations, service level agreement (SLA) compliance, and ongoing performance evaluation.

• Lead platform integration efforts to facilitate seamless data transfer between commercial systems (e.g., CRM, marketing platforms) and enterprise data environments.

• Advocate for data quality, governance, and analytics capabilities within commercial and marketing platforms to bolster business intelligence and strategic decision-making.

• Drive initiatives for continuous improvement to enhance commercial and marketing processes through technology, emphasizing automation and digital-first strategies.

• Inspire, develop, and lead a high-performing team of technology professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, innovation, and business partnership.

• Promote talent development, leadership coaching, succession planning, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives that enhance organizational capability and align with long-term business goals.

• Stay informed on emerging trends in commercial and marketing technology, assessing new tools and capabilities that could enhance Fortrea’s competitive edge and operational efficiency.

• Provide strategic and operational guidance for managers, product leaders, technology professionals, and cross-functional teams supporting Fortrea's commercial and marketing technology platforms.

• Set clear performance expectations, development objectives, accountability measures, and success metrics that align with organizational priorities and business outcomes.

• Direct workforce planning, organizational design, and resource strategy efforts to ensure the organization retains the capabilities, capacity, and expertise necessary to meet current and future business needs.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field is required.

• Extensive experience in IT management, particularly in a strategic leadership role overseeing commercial or enterprise technology platforms.

• Proven experience managing CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics) and marketing technology ecosystems (e.g., marketing automation, digital content management, analytics).

• Demonstrated capability to develop and implement technology strategies that align with commercial and marketing business goals, especially within a product-centric environment.

• Substantial experience in budgeting, financial forecasting, variance analysis, and vendor management for enterprise technology platforms.

• Strong comprehension of commercial business processes, including business development, proposal management, customer relationship management, and marketing operations.
