Senior Director, Business Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as a finance business partner to the Senior Vice Presidents of Innovation & Technology and Lab Operations along with their teams.

• Assist in R&D, Product Management, IT, COGS, and capital expenditure investments.

• Provide financial business partnership support to Legal, HR, Finance, and Medical Affairs departments.

• Oversee annual planning, forecasting, and financial management throughout the year.

• Create and establish a monthly financial operating routine.

• Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews, taking ownership of the financial narrative.

• Prepare and collaborate on board-level financial presentations delivered by Senior Vice Presidents.

• Identify and prioritize opportunities for cost optimization and resource investment decisions.

• Co-manage the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process with the Supply Chain team.

• Develop financial infrastructure, including models, templates, dashboards, and decision-making frameworks.

• Lead, mentor, and nurture a growing finance team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 12 years of progressive experience in finance.

• Extensive FP&A business partnership experience at the Director level or higher.

• Proven ability to build financial operating infrastructure, including forecasting models, planning cycles, and business review rhythms.

• Demonstrated success in holding senior business leaders accountable for financial performance through structured operating processes.

• Exceptional financial storytelling skills and strong executive presence.

• Capability to simplify complex information into clear and credible insights suitable for board discussions.

• Player-coach leadership approach.

• History of driving decisions and business results through financial insight.

• Experience in life sciences, diagnostics, biotech, or healthcare is preferred.

• Familiarity with technology or laboratory/operations financial models is preferred.

• Experience supporting functions through rapid growth or transformation is preferred.
