Senior Director, Business Development – U.S. East Coast

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Identify, engage, and secure new microbial development and manufacturing partnerships throughout the U.S.

• Establish and nurture strategic client relationships that enhance market presence and stimulate revenue growth.

• Create and implement a focused sales territory plan that aligns with annual commercial objectives.

• Clearly convey AGC Biologics’ technical and operational competencies to key decision-makers in prospective organizations.

• Organize and lead client site visits, including planning the agenda, engaging cross-functional teams, and ensuring structured follow-up.

• Collaborate with Marketing to develop strategies and materials that support U.S. commercial initiatives.

• Oversee pipeline activity within CRM systems to guarantee accuracy, visibility, and timely follow-up.

• Work alongside global cross-functional teams—including Technical Operations, Legal, Finance, and Program Management—to advance opportunities through due diligence and contract execution.

• Provide valuable market insights derived from customer interactions, competitive dynamics, and industry trends.

• Represent AGC Biologics at conferences, trade shows, and pertinent industry events.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of proven business development or sales experience, ideally within the CDMO or broader life sciences/biopharmaceutical sector.

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• Proven track record in building relationships, presenting to senior leadership, and closing complex technical solutions.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences.

• Willingness and capability to travel approximately 50% for client meetings, industry events, and internal engagements.
