Senior Director, Biostatistics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for the biostatistics function.

• You will oversee end-to-end clinical data workflows, ensuring the evaluation of clinical data is of the highest quality.

• Developing and mentoring biostatistics staff will be essential for their ongoing effectiveness and scalability.

• You will offer statistical leadership in the design and evaluation of study methodologies.

• Collaborating with clinical operations, data management, and statistical programming teams will be crucial for creating efficient clinical databases.

• You will lead and/or supervise statistical programming and analysis activities across various research studies, employing different statistical models.

• Directing the creation of analysis datasets, data summaries, and statistical reports, primarily using SAS, will be part of your responsibilities.

• You will contribute to the preparation and review of clinical trial deliverables, such as study reports and regulatory documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field is required; a PhD is highly preferred.

• You should have a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or academic research sectors, with significant experience supporting clinical drug development; oncology experience is strongly preferred.

• Proven expertise in advanced data manipulation and statistical analysis methodologies applied to clinical research is essential.

• A deep understanding of applied statistics, including the design and analysis of complex datasets, such as imaging or other data-intensive clinical endpoints, is required.

• Proficiency in multiple statistical software platforms is necessary, including at least two of the following: SAS, R, SPSS, or STATA.

• Strong skills in descriptive and inferential analysis, statistical modeling, study design, and data visualization/graphical outputs are important.

• The ability to travel up to 10%, as required, is expected.
