This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Generate insightful and strategic guidance on licensing and commercial negotiations for AWS, Microsoft Azure/M365, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Assist clients in navigating significant cloud contract milestones, including renewals, cost optimization, and negotiation strategies.
• Produce innovative and high-impact research materials.
• Formulate new research concepts and actionable solutions tailored to client cloud licensing and negotiation requirements.
• Examine trends such as optimizing commercial strategies for multi-cloud settings, assessing licensing models, pinpointing emerging market trends, and enhancing the utilization of cloud marketplaces.
• Analyze client usage patterns to uncover cost optimization opportunities and suggest negotiation strategies.
• Conduct thorough analysis of client challenges.
• Exhibit thought leadership on topics related to cloud commercial management.
• Investigate and forecast trends in the cloud market.
• Interact daily with senior-level clients.
• Design and present engaging presentation materials.
• Provide support for Research and Sales initiatives.
• Conduct peer reviews.
• Establish credibility as a recognized industry expert.
• Engage in innovation and research discussions.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Maintain a client-centric approach and drive engagement.
• Extensive expertise in negotiating and renewing licensing contracts for large enterprise AWS, Microsoft, and Google Cloud.
• Experience in conducting software transactions through cloud marketplaces.
• Understanding of global dynamics within the cloud market.
• Exceptional writing and presentation abilities.
• Background in negotiations with SaaS vendors.
• Strong grasp of cloud adoption, FinOps, and the impacts of digital transformation.
• Outstanding analytical capabilities.
• At least 10 years of experience in cloud licensing or negotiations.
• Recent hands-on experience in negotiating significant cloud agreements.
• Familiarity with compliance risk management.
• Bachelor's degree is required; a graduate degree is preferred.
• Ability to collaborate within a global team.
• Strong organizational competencies.
• Adaptable learner and effective in matrixed environments.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
