This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Develop, sustain, and assess cost forecasts, accruals, and budgets throughout the project lifecycle.

• Gather and evaluate actual job cost data from accounting systems (Vista and VMS) and create forecasting workbooks.

• Work closely with Project Managers to review change orders, confirm committed costs, and assist with scope change requests.

• Aid in the setup of project budgets and the development of earned value structures at the project's initiation phase.

• Communicate data and trends effectively, clearly, and promptly to Project/Operations Management.

• Support the Stage Gate Process by conducting thorough evaluations of project development and control deliverables.

• Perform analysis, optimization, and reporting on assigned projects, including assessing risk, cost, and schedule performance against multi-year budget plans.

• Utilize industry-standard KPIs and metrics for project cost analysis, such as CPI and EAC.

• Identify and document cost variances and propose mitigation strategies to address potential impacts.

• Travel minimally on an as-needed basis.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of project controls experience, including cash flow forecasting and analysis.

• Experience working autonomously as well as in a collaborative team environment.

• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities due to changing demands and timelines.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication abilities to interface effectively.

• Capability to communicate effectively with internal, client, and regulatory stakeholders.

• Proficient computer skills.

• Willingness to learn and utilize client-provided programs and systems.

• Reasoning Development: Ability to follow instructions provided in written or oral form; strong problem-solving aptitude.

• Mathematical Development: Skilled in performing computations involving electrical power.

• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and accurately identify urgent issues needing immediate attention.

• Develop project plans, order resources and materials, conduct job kickoff meetings, and recognize changes in work scopes.

• Competence in examining information, facts, and data to draw logical conclusions from the available information.

• Perform well under pressure and act responsibly concerning the safety of others.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree required; preferred fields include accounting and business administration.

• Experience: Minimum of seven years in Project Controls with expertise in building and maintaining cost reports for large programs and projects.

• Specialized Knowledge, Certifications, and Licenses: Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Word & Excel, and Power BI; ability to create clearly written communications.
