Inpatient DRG Validator, Coding Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct inpatient coding assessments

• Analyze inpatient coding (ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS)

• Confirm the accuracy of ICD-10-CM and PCS codes

• Examine physician documentation for detailed specificity

• Stay updated on the standards set by regulatory agencies

• Provide consultation to client organizations

• Work in collaboration with other team members across service lines

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Coding IP Claims

• CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) certification is mandatory

• Background in Medicare and Medicaid DRGs is essential

• Comprehensive understanding of coding practices

• Proficiency in EHR systems (Cerner, EPIC, Meditech)

• Required knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; an Associate degree in Health Information Technology is the minimum acceptable qualification
