Senior Director Analyst, CIO Market and Technology Platforms, Sourcing Procurement, Vendor Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide counsel to CIOs regarding technology sourcing, commercial strategies, and intricate contract negotiations.

• Assist clients throughout their cloud investment journey, from sourcing strategies and vendor selection to negotiation processes.

• Lead discussions on significant, complex negotiations with technology vendors.

• Offer expert advice on cloud and AI licensing frameworks.

• Aid clients in navigating and negotiating managed services and outsourcing agreements.

• Deliver research findings and recommendations to CIOs concerning technologies, markets, and emerging trends.

• Tailor insights and positions to various audiences, including industries and mid-sized enterprises.

• Present research and thought leadership during one-on-one conversations and at Gartner events.

• Assist clients in evaluating and choosing vendors and solutions that meet their specific needs.

• Collaborate with other Gartner Analysts to produce comprehensive and actionable research.

• Provide sales support to help Insights teams develop content.

• Serve as a mentor and coach by supporting junior team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 12 years of relevant experience in the field or industry, particularly as a CIO or Head of Sourcing, Procurement, or Vendor Management.

• Exceptional organizational abilities; adept at working under tight deadlines and delivering high-quality results.

• Proven excellence in research and writing capabilities.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with analytical and presentation abilities.

• Proficient in data analysis and synthesis.

• Subject matter expert; comfortable speaking at both large and small events.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across multicultural global teams.

• Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed.
