Senior Director Analyst – CFO Frontier Insights

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Generate groundbreaking, thought-provoking, and essential "must-have insights" content.

• Create new insights and concepts through thought leadership, offering compelling and actionable solutions to meet clients' needs and requests, thereby enhancing their decision-making capabilities.

• Conduct comprehensive analyses to uncover the root causes of a client’s challenges or requirements, reframing perspectives to advance strategic initiatives.

• Exhibit thought leadership by establishing Insight positions within a team of analysts.

• Provide provocative and independent insights to Gartner leaders that can influence the direction of research agendas.

• Research, assess, and forecast market trends and shifts to deliver actionable insights to clients and vendors.

• Offer actionable guidance to clients and prospects pertinent to their content areas through virtual or in-person interactions.

• Develop and present high-value presentation materials both on-stage and off for Gartner events, industry conferences, and client briefings.

• Assist BTI and Sales: Act as the market voice to support Insights teams in content creation and enhance client engagement, helping them address critical priorities for business growth.

• Ensure high-quality, timely peer reviews of content.

• Establish credibility as an industry expert representing Gartner's insights, methodologies, and strategies.

• Actively engage in innovation, ideation, and research discussions while collaborating effectively with peers in the Insights community.

• Identify enhancements in research processes or create new procedures to help the team and BTI deliver exceptional service.

• Serve as a mentor and coach, providing support to junior team members.

• Maintain a client-centric approach, actively facilitating regular engagement between clients and Gartner insights and interactions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; a graduate degree is preferred.

• Over 12 years of experience in a finance role, ideally with more than 2 years of recent experience in AI.

• Career exposure to strategic finance or special projects with the CFO, spanning finance processes, workflows, data sources, and technologies.

• Possess provocative and forward-thinking insights for CFOs, grounded in professional experience, regarding how AI and emerging technology trends are (or will) transform finance functions and their future roles within organizations.

• Excellent analytical skills capable of converting ambiguity into clear narratives, stories, and teachings that motivate CFO action.

• Exhibit executive presence; able to quickly gain credibility with executives and other stakeholders.

• Strong organizational skills; ability to operate under tight deadlines while delivering high-quality outputs.

• Demonstrate exceptional research and writing skills.

• Proficient in written and verbal communication, analytical thinking, and presentation skills; ability to engage clients and respond effectively to inquiries.

• Skilled in analyzing and synthesizing data; capable of employing patterns and frameworks to draw and substantiate conclusions to client challenges.

• Excellent communication skills - capable of simplifying complex concepts.

• Subject matter expertise; comfortable presenting at both large and small speaking engagements.

• Strong business and financial insight.

• In-depth knowledge of the global and competitive landscape within the subject area, along with understanding its market dynamics.

• Ability to work independently while being intrinsically motivated to collaborate across teams and support others' workflows in a multicultural global setting.

• Learning agility and adeptness in navigating highly matrixed environments.

• Ability to effectively represent Gartner's research methodologies and strategies at all organizational levels.

• Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% (where applicable).
