This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Lead and execute consultancy and systems engineering projects in Digital Building technologies.
• Ensure that projects meet the Scope of Work and align with client objectives.
• Comprehend and develop customer requirements alongside business objectives.
• Collaborate with FPC, clients, and stakeholders to achieve project outcomes.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to project teams.
• Manage intricate, multi-stakeholder programs ensuring timely delivery, adherence to scope, and compliance with quality and reliability standards.
• Offer advice on Digital Building and IoT systems integration, technologies, initiatives, solutions, processes, and standards.
• Design, develop, and implement integrations for Digital Building systems.
• Work with BAS/BMS, automation systems, lighting control systems, and energy management systems.
• Apply control strategies and protocols such as BACnet, MQTT, Modbus, LON, and DALI.
• Utilize digital building systems, controls, and data analytics to enhance performance, minimize energy consumption, and detect faults.
• Incorporate sustainable design into Digital Building architectures and standards.
• Implement cybersecurity best practices through audits, secure OT/IT integration, threat identification, incident response, and risk mitigation.
• Oversee technology solutions regarding risk management, quality, and compliance.
• Support OT system and device management, updates, and vendor engagement.
• Maintain industry expertise while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation.
• Recognize revenue opportunities and assist in business development initiatives.
• At least 5 years of experience in the Digital Building and IoT industry.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Controls, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Strong proficiency in the design, development, and implementation of Digital Building Systems Integration.
• Familiarity with MEP Engineering Systems and Design Standards.
• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
• Knowledge of IP networking, including IPv4, IPv6, switching, routing, DHCP, and WiFi.
• Experience conducting system audits and technical evaluations.
• Awareness of edge-to-cloud architectures.
• Understanding of control strategies, systems specifications, schematic drawings, wiring diagrams, operation descriptions, point naming and addressing, and records for BMS, LCS, and EMS assets.
• Knowledge of protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, LON, DALI, and MQTT.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Experience in developing technical solutions that align with client goals.
• Proficient in using Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and data analytics is preferred.
• Experience with systems testing and commissioning, FDD, and automated commissioning systems is a plus.
• Understanding of OT and IT interoperability challenges and solutions is desirable.
• Knowledge of RIBA Stages of Work or equivalent international standards is an advantage.
