This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and conduct Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) investigations, including host forensics, network traffic analysis, malware triage, log examination, and Business Email Compromise (BEC) analysis.
• Facilitate engagement communication, manage time effectively, and coordinate activities throughout the investigative process.
• Create detailed reports that encapsulate technical findings, actionable recommendations, business implications, and remediation strategies.
• Execute advanced reactive and proactive assessments that are mission-critical.
• Collaborate with colleagues on multiple concurrent engagements.
• Utilize automation, orchestration, and scripting techniques to enhance efficiency and introduce new capabilities.
• Contribute to the integration of both open-source and commercial tools into DFIR methodologies.
• Continuously develop relevant skills and knowledge to remain up-to-date in the field of information security.
• Cultivate client relationships by providing support, information, and insights during engagements.
• Assist in evolving the DFIR Practice to address emerging threats and client requirements.
• Maintain availability beyond typical business hours during periods of high-severity incidents.
• Participate in an on-call rotation as necessary.
• Identify and rectify deficiencies in engagement delivery, processes, and client communications.
• A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
• At least 4 years of direct experience in incident response investigations.
• A combined total of 6 or more years in IT and information security.
• Expertise in host forensics, network traffic analysis, malware triage, log review, and BEC analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to present technical findings to both technical and managerial audiences.
• Creativity and adaptability in addressing complex issues.
• Openness to adopting emerging technologies, including AI tools.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Ability to perform sedentary work.
• Significant wrist, hand, and/or finger movement for at least 8 hours daily.
• Close visual acuity for computer terminal use and/or extensive reading for at least 8 hours daily.
• Primarily remote workforce (U.S. based only).
