Senior DevSecOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of CI/CD and infrastructure design for the supported teams.

• Establish architecture, deployment methodologies, and specifications for AI-driven pipelines, infrastructure code, and automation.

• Write code directly when necessary.

• Determine and validate pipeline tests, policy-as-code, and security gates.

• Develop shared CloudSecOps standards, patterns, tools, and best practices.

• Manage application observability and instrument the supported services.

• Link alerting to product SLOs.

• Assist engineers in debugging and resolving production issues.

• Ensure that reviews, deployment decisions, on-call responses, and incident learnings are accountable to human judgment.

• Mentor engineers in specifying, delegating, and validating tasks involving AI.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient with Agentic AI as the primary interface for planning and constructing CI/CD and infrastructure; capable of writing executable specifications and validating AI-generated outputs.

• Proven experience in building and managing production-level CI/CD and cloud infrastructure at scale using AWS or Azure.

• Experience in handling on-call responsibilities.

• Systems designed with integrated testing, security, and observability.

• Background in collaborating with multiple application teams and CloudSecOps colleagues.

• Practical experience with containers and Kubernetes for application workloads.

• Familiarity with Helm or similar tools.

• Production experience with serverless functions.

• Hands-on experience with one or more Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM.

• Proficient in at least one modern programming language, such as Python or Java.

• Experience in implementing SAST, DAST, SCA, and secrets scanning within pipelines.

• Knowledge of least-privilege IAM practices.

• Understanding of encryption both in transit and at rest.

• Familiarity with HIPAA/HITRUST and SOC 2 compliance frameworks.
