This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Spearhead the technical delivery and operational reliability of cloud data and AI platforms, including Snowflake, Anthropic, AWS, and Azure solutions.
• Take ownership of comprehensive operational support and incident management across various client environments.
• Convert business and data requirements into robust, cost-efficient operational solutions.
• Oversee and support production ETL/ELT jobs and pipelines, swiftly addressing any failures.
• Respond to incidents via pager, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
• Ensure engagements are completed on schedule, within scope, and deliver measurable client value.
• Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, solutions architecture, clients, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance during incident bridges, troubleshooting sessions, and design or runbook reviews.
• Maintain documentation, knowledge articles, runbooks, governance, and change-management processes.
• Enhance operational maturity, standardize practices, and improve client satisfaction.
• Create operational playbooks, automation scripts, monitoring standards, and training materials.
• Mentor peers and junior DevOps engineers through knowledge sharing and coaching.
• Utilize AI tools daily for troubleshooting, automation, documentation, and knowledge capture, ensuring validation of outputs before production use.
• Advise senior client stakeholders on operational strategy, reliability, and performance optimization.
• Lead complex incident and problem-management initiatives, driving long-term remediation and platform enhancements.
• Define and refine standards for managed services, reusable assets, and delivery frameworks.
• 6+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud data platform operations, and/or production support for data and analytics workloads.
• Proficient in SQL, including writing, debugging, and optimizing queries.
• Experience in supporting Snowflake and/or Amazon Redshift for a large user base.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server.
• Background in production support, monitoring scheduled ETL/ELT jobs and pipelines.
• Working knowledge of Unix/Linux and system administration concepts.
• Basic proficiency in writing and optimizing Python for scripting and automation.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud-native data services, including S3, ADLS, or Azure Data Factory.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and SLA-driven support environments.
• Strong skills in troubleshooting, performance tuning, and incident/problem management.
• Excellent client-facing written and verbal communication abilities.
• Regular daily use of AI coding tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, or similar.
• Ability to articulate engineering tasks completed with AI assistance.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub or Bitbucket.
• Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
• Experience delivering projects for external or internal clients in professional services or consulting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work effectively with distributed and cross-functional teams.
• Proven capability in ownership, prioritization, and delivery with minimal supervision.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is listed under 'Education - If desired' and is not a mandatory requirement.
