Senior DevOps Engineer – Backend Oriented

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, create, and manage production infrastructure across both on-premises and cloud environments, which includes customer deployments, upgrades, remote management, and disaster recovery.

• Develop and sustain Dockerized services and multi-container setups utilizing Docker Compose.

• Take ownership of CI/CD processes, Infrastructure-as-Code, release procedures, and deployment strategies from the development phase to production.

• Establish observability throughout the stack, encompassing monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational practices.

• Oversee GPU-based workloads and guarantee that AI workloads operate reliably on actual hardware.

• Contribute to backend services and APIs by enhancing performance, data processing, database access, and real-time event management.

• Manage networking, secrets management, security enhancements, and infrastructure reliability.

• Collaborate closely with backend, ML, and product teams to enhance scalability, deployment, and operational excellence.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Platform, or Infrastructure Engineering.

• Strong practical backend development experience, preferably using Python.

• Extensive hands-on production experience with Docker and Docker Compose.

• Real-world experience managing production systems on-premises, ideally on physical servers.

• Solid experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, along with CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.

• Proficient in Linux, networking, and system-level troubleshooting skills.

• Practical experience with PostgreSQL and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Loki.

• Comprehensive understanding of system design, reliability, scalability, and security principles.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent academic experience.

• Proactive, hands-on, and comfortable taking ownership in a fast-paced startup environment.
