Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the prod-us-only environment from start to finish, encompassing infrastructure deployment, maintenance, scaling, and reliability.

• Lead and develop the US-based DevOps team as the site continues to grow.

• Design, implement, and oversee scalable, highly available AWS infrastructure.

• Construct and sustain CI/CD pipelines to ensure safe and swift software delivery.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to investigate application errors.

• Operate and enhance monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to maintain availability and performance.

• Direct the response to production incidents.

• Coordinate with the Tel Aviv DevOps team on shared platform decisions and standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be based in the US, with a strong preference for candidates in the New York area; remote work within the US is an option.

• Availability in the Eastern Time Zone is required.

• Previous experience leading or mentoring a small team is essential.

• U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident status is required due to access limitations for a U.S.-only environment.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering is necessary.

• A solid development background in Go, Python, or a similar language; must be comfortable reading and contributing to application code.

• Extensive experience with AWS across compute, networking, IAM, and data services.

• Strong practical knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker in production environments.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Terragrunt.

• Proficiency in designing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Jenkins, or similar tools.

• Hands-on experience with Datadog or an equivalent monitoring tool.

• Familiarity with disaster recovery and high-availability architectural practices.

• Exceptional troubleshooting abilities across the entire stack.
