Senior DevOps Cloud Engineer, AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop infrastructure and systems that balance operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, and cost optimization.

• Enhance system observability through infrastructure as code, operational and health metrics, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.

• Play a key role in DevOps roadmaps, infrastructure modernization, new projects, deployments, and system hardening.

• Incorporate AI-powered tools for predictive monitoring, anomaly detection, intelligent alerting, and auto-remediation.

• Leverage AI/ML insights to improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, infrastructure performance, and cost efficiency.

• Create and sustain self-healing systems utilizing AI-based observability platforms.

• Facilitate cloud modernization and centralization in collaboration with business, analytics, software, InfoSec, and data science teams.

• Design and enforce SDLC, InfoSec, and compliance standards.

• Assist in root cause analysis and incident resolution.

• Support database operations for SQL Server and MySQL, including SQL scripts, database objects, and performance/connection troubleshooting.

• Manage, patch, and monitor MySQL and SQL Server databases within AWS and GCP environments.

• Implement Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform.

• Architect, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.

• Oversee the GitHub Organization repository structure, branch protection, and access controls.

• Automate releases and deployments leveraging GitHub Actions and IaC.

• Configure and manage Cloudflare DNS, CDN caching, rulesets, load balancing, Workers, WAF, and Zero Trust services.

• Provide 24/7/365 monitoring, incident response, and on-call support.

• Mentor junior engineers, spearhead technical initiatives, collaborate across departments, and execute assigned IT projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software, or Systems Engineering preferred, or equivalent experience.

• Over 8 years of relevant experience.

• Proficient in cloud-based systems and containerized infrastructure, including Linux/OS fundamentals, Kubernetes, database systems, and cloud networking.

• Extensive expertise with GCP required; significant knowledge across two or more cloud platforms, including GCP and AWS, preferred.

• Experience supporting AI/ML platforms and integrating AI-driven DevOps tools.

• Proficient in MySQL and SQL Server database infrastructure in AWS and GCP.

• Familiarity with LLM-based systems, vector databases, or AI APIs.

• Expertise in building web/internet platform components, such as proxies, caches, load balancers, firewalls, app/web server tiers, and database systems.

• Experience in Unix scripting is required.

• Conceptual and practical knowledge of CI/CD, IaC, configuration management, and secrets/vault management.

• Proficient in troubleshooting systems, networks, and applications in distributed/microservice environments.

• Hands-on experience with Cloudflare.

• Strong practical experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD.

• Experience managing GitHub Organizations, repository permissions, and branch protection policies.

• Experience in IT for a publicly owned company based in the United States is preferred.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Proven track record of working with US-based business teams.

• Ability to work during core US business hours with an overlap in Eastern Standard Time.
