Software Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.

📋 Description

• Act as the main contributor to the Safari AI cloud infrastructure.

• Implement engineering best practices in system design, coding, documentation, and communication.

• Collaborate closely with engineering and operations teams to determine priorities and communicate them effectively.

• Contribute to enhancements in the engineering development process.

• Establish the technical direction for the cloud infrastructure stack.

• Develop products and create new markets in a startup environment at an early stage.

• Take ownership of a specific project, usually within a small team of 1–3 members.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4-6 years of experience as a software individual contributor.

• Proficient in AWS or at least one of the following public clouds: GCP/Azure.

• Demonstrated ability to build a complex service from inception to production.

• Experience in delivering incremental features while maintaining the reliability of a production service.

• Strong understanding of best practices in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and security compliance.

• Please share your code or a piece of work if you are interested.

• Nice-to-have: experience in building a team and mentoring.

• Nice-to-have: experience with streaming processing services.

• Nice-to-have: experience in machine learning engineering.
