This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee the execution of a program focused on affordable housing projects from the pre-contract phase to completion.

• Manage intricate and large-scale development initiatives through the design, procurement, and construction stages.

• Establish and nurture relationships with local authorities, developers, landowners, consultants, contractors, and other key stakeholders.

• Assist in identifying, evaluating, and acquiring new business opportunities and development sites.

• Take the lead on planning application submissions and negotiations regarding Section 106 agreements.

• Provide guidance, coaching, and support to Development Managers and Project Officers.

• Oversee budgets, forecasts, cash flows, and financial performance across the development portfolio.

• Ensure precise reporting, compliance, and management of program data.

• Work collaboratively with internal teams to facilitate the successful transition of completed homes for sale or rental.

• Act as a deputy for the Head of Development when necessary and provide leadership during peak periods.

• Deliver the regional development program effectively, safely, within budget, and to the highest standards.


⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in managing housing development projects from acquisition to completion.

• Strong understanding of affordable housing delivery, planning procedures, Homes England requirements, and construction methodologies.

• Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.

• Strong commercial acumen and financial management expertise.

• Outstanding communication and presentation abilities.

• Capability to engage effectively across all organizational levels.

• Proficient in resolving complex issues, driving change, and consistently improving processes and outcomes.

• Collaborative mindset with the confidence to make decisions and take ownership of results.

• Satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service Check, if applicable.

• Positive references.

• Valid Right to Work documentation.

• May require specific qualifications, skills, knowledge, and behaviors to meet the Competence and Conduct Standard for Social Housing.

• If not already qualified, may be expected to pursue a professional qualification.
