This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Oversee the execution of a program for affordable housing developments from the pre-contract phase through to completion.
• Manage intricate and large-scale development projects throughout the design, procurement, and construction stages.
• Establish and nurture relationships with local authorities, developers, landowners, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Assist in the identification, evaluation, and acquisition of new business opportunities and development sites.
• Lead the submission of planning applications and negotiations related to Section 106 agreements.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and support to Development Managers and Project Officers.
• Oversee budgets, forecasts, cash flows, and financial performance across the development portfolio.
• Ensure precise reporting, compliance, and management of program data.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to facilitate the handover of completed homes for sale or rental.
• Act as a deputy for the Head of Development when necessary and offer leadership during peak demand periods.
• Extensive experience in managing housing development projects from acquisition through to completion.
• Strong understanding of affordable housing delivery, planning processes, Homes England regulations, and construction practices.
• Exceptional project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong commercial insight and financial management capabilities.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels.
• Capacity to resolve complex issues, drive change, and continuously enhance processes and outcomes.
• Collaborative mindset with the confidence to make decisions and take responsibility for results.
• A satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service Check, if applicable.
• Satisfactory references.
• Possession of a valid Right to Work document.
• May necessitate specific qualifications, skills, knowledge, and behaviors to meet the Competence and Conduct Standard for Social Housing.
• If not already qualified, candidates may be expected to pursue a professional qualification.
• Car allowance of £4,385.00 per annum.
