Senior Developer – Python Full Stack

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as a Senior Developer for Pricing Tools projects, leading the design, construction, and execution of sophisticated tools that enhance the delivery of pricing programs to market.

• Gain a thorough understanding of the Insurance Pricing sector and develop efficient tools that address fundamental business challenges.

• Streamline and automate processes to accelerate product rollout while boosting reliability.

• Design resilient and sustainable tools utilizing Python, along with application development and cloud best practices.

• Oversee intricate projects and synchronize efforts among team members, partner teams, and stakeholders.

• Set and advocate for technical standards, covering coding practices, testing methodologies, documentation, and maintainability expectations.

• Investigate and suggest new technologies, development methodologies, and enhancements to processes.

• Detect automation shortfalls, delivery obstacles, technical liabilities, and opportunities to enhance team productivity.

• Mentor and assist junior analysts and developers through code reviews and support on intricate design or implementation issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Python.

• Proficiency in Git, GitHub, and CI/CD is essential.

• Experience with GitHub Actions is preferred.

• Required knowledge of Linux and bash.

• Experience with Agile development methodologies is required.

• Strongly preferred: experience with user-facing Streamlit or Flask applications.

• Strongly preferred: familiarity with Docker.

• Preferred: experience developing on EC2 or other cloud computing platforms.

• Preferred: experience with deploying EKS or Kubernetes applications.

• Preferred: background in Insurance Pricing or Compliance.

• Preferred: experience in Data Science or Analytics projects.
