Senior Developer Advocate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create Authoritative Content: Produce high-quality, deeply technical blog posts, tutorials, architectural blueprints, and in-depth articles for onehouse.ai and quanton.dev.

• Cultivate Social Influence: Maintain a robust, influential presence on developer-centric social platforms (notably LinkedIn and X) to foster industry-wide discussions.

• Deliver Engaging Presentations: Represent Onehouse on public platforms by giving technical talks, conducting interactive workshops, hosting webinars, and participating in podcasts or developer panels.

• Develop Production-Ready Demos: Construct, maintain, and open-source comprehensive reference implementations, demo applications, and integration templates on GitHub.

• Highlight Ecosystem Integrations: Design and demonstrate seamless integrations linking Onehouse with contemporary data infrastructure tools such as Apache Spark, Apache Hudi, Apache Iceberg, Trino, Apache Flink, Apache Kafka, Apache Airflow, dbt, Ray, pyTorch, and Apache Polaris.

• Unite the Ecosystem: Act as a key advocate and technical resource within open-source communities, including the Apache Software Foundation and modern Lakehouse groups.

• Facilitate the Product Feedback Loop: Collaborate directly with Product Management and Engineering to gather candid feedback from developers and customers, validate new features, shape product messaging, and influence our roadmap.

• Collaborate Globally: Partner with Marketing to coordinate significant product launches, lead technical campaigns, and manage analyst briefings with authority on technical topics.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 Years of Developer-Facing Experience: A proven track record in roles such as Developer Relations, Developer Advocacy, Solutions Engineering, Technical Product Management, or Software Engineering.

• Profound Data/Lakehouse Domain Knowledge: A solid conceptual and practical grasp of modern data lakehouse architectures, open table formats, metadata management, data governance, and cloud-native data management.

• Hands-on Stack Expertise: Direct experience in building, managing, and troubleshooting production pipelines using data technologies such as Apache Spark, Apache Hudi, Apache Iceberg, Trino/Presto, Apache Flink, or Apache Kafka.

• Cloud Infrastructure Experience: Familiarity with deploying data solutions in cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, or Snowflake.

• Programming Proficiency: Strong coding skills in at least one modern programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or Go.

• Established Communication Portfolio: An active public portfolio showcasing written technical content (blogs, guides, documentation) and experience presenting in public forums, conferences, or webinars.

• Competitive Compensation; the estimated base salary range for this role is $180,000 - $220,000.
