This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.
• Collaborate with project teams and Cybersecurity experts to ensure that controls and engineering designs meet energy savings guarantees and functional performance standards.
• Oversee the design and engineering processes for assigned projects.
• Refine schedules, scopes of work, and budgets in collaboration with the project team.
• Facilitate design review meetings and charrettes, and manage engineering consultants.
• Develop and enhance Technical Solutions and controls based on Energy Conservation Measures.
• Conduct site investigations and gather data.
• Assist with project pricing efforts in conjunction with the NORESCO Construction department.
• Support the project team during construction, commissioning, and performance phases to address design challenges.
• Engage in the equipment evaluation and procurement process.
• Recognize key customer interests and drivers.
• Over 6 years of experience in Design Controls Engineering.
• Bachelor's Degree.
• Professional Engineer’s registration is preferred.
• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical, or Civil Engineering is preferred.
• Excellent communication, leadership, engineering, and project management skills.
• Strong sense of ownership, recognizing the significance of adhering to project schedules, resolving issues promptly, and consistently meeting deadlines and commitments.
• Deep interest in engaging clients, customers, and partners to cultivate relationships.
• Advanced understanding of various aspects of control systems and engineering, including design principles, technologies, energy optimization, utility rates, energy costs, applicable codes, design guides, and standards.
• Committed to building and maintaining respectful and inclusive working relationships with individual project team members to promote cooperation and productivity.
• Strong combination of business acumen, risk management, and strategic thinking skills.
• Experience with engineering criteria for federal facilities.
• Must be eligible to obtain federal security clearance.
• Capable of independently planning, prioritizing, and managing multiple engineering projects; prioritizes tasks to ensure effective use of the team's overall resources and to meet project deadlines.
• Collaborates cross-functionally to lead complex engineering activities that may not fall under a defined discipline.
