Senior Design Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Create and prepare technical designs and drawings based on initial concepts, specification sheets, and various data sources.

• Verify and ensure design drawings are in accordance with specifications and design data.

• Analyze and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.

• Examine and comprehend heavy machinery operation manuals.

• Develop electronic layouts, charts, detailed drawings, bills of materials, and equipment requirements derived from machine specifications and standard layouts.

• Modify computer-aided designs and plans to align with updated specifications introduced during actual construction.

• Evaluate plans and compose technical reports to fulfill project specifications.

• Maintain thorough documentation of all work, products, and relevant activities.

• Participate in peer review processes.

• Utilize internal ERP software.

• Assist in field implementations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of experience in an engineering setting.

• Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design tools.

• Experience in an ISO 9001 environment is considered advantageous.

• Driven by challenging tasks.

• Proven ability to work in a collaborative, multi-site team environment.

• Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of heavy machinery in mining or similar industries.
