Senior Design Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as a key contributor for intricate projects, collaborating closely with clients and the Design Engineering team to establish specifications, designs, budgets, schedules, and manage expectations.

• Visualize system designs and ascertain system requirements.

• Possess a robust background in Project Engineering (technical project management skills) with the capability to oversee multiple projects across various regions.

• Support and lead initiatives in drafting/modeling security floor layouts for access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, vehicle gate systems, system wiring diagrams, schematics, and backboard layouts.

• Create the Bill of Materials (BOM) and supporting documentation for customer RFPs.

• Generate detailed 30%, 60%, 90%, 100% IFC, and/or Shop Drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.

• Research, identify, and propose technology solutions for clients.

• Conduct quality control by reviewing drawings and assessing the necessity for design modifications; provide suitable recommendations.

• Ensure that the production of drawings adheres to scope, schedule, and quality standards.

• The role may involve client interaction and contribute to Profit and Loss performance.

• Have a solid grasp of both Internal and External project lifecycles.

• Understanding the project lifecycle is crucial, and learning the standards our clients are accustomed to is as vital as promoting new technologies and solutions where applicable.

• This position is tasked with building enduring client partnerships and collaborating with team members to manage the account on all levels.


⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.

• Demonstrated experience leading engineering initiatives within ESS domains such as access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems.

• Strong comprehension of system integration, project engineering processes, and field-to-office feedback loops.

• Proficient in process improvement methodologies, technical governance, and cross-functional coordination.

• Effective communicator adept at engaging internal teams, vendors, and executive stakeholders.

• Analytical thinker with the capability to analyze performance data, recognize trends, and drive strategic enhancements.

• Proven ability to coach, mentor, and lead engineering teams in a dynamic and evolving environment.

• Experience in managing vendor relationships and coordinating enterprise-level technology training.

• Strong organizational and time management abilities focused on operational efficiency and documentation quality.
