This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine, +1 more state.
• Take ownership of short-, mid-, and long-term demand forecasts at the SKU, customer, and channel levels.
• Create forecasts based on statistical methods and judgment, leveraging historical data, trend analysis, and business intelligence.
• Assess forecast accuracy, bias, and influencing factors; lead root-cause analyses and implement corrective measures.
• Integrate new product launches, customer onboarding (e.g., major accounts), and demand events into demand forecasts.
• Act as the demand lead within the S&OP process, ensuring that demand plans are reviewed, challenged, and aligned across functions.
• Convert commercial insights into precise supply and capacity requirements.
• Organize demand review meetings and prepare demand scenarios for executive-level decision-making.
• Ensure consistency between demand plans, financial projections, and operational limitations.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Customer, and Product stakeholders to gather forward-looking demand insights.
• Work in sync with Operations, Procurement, and Inventory teams to align plans with manufacturing and supply capabilities.
• Offer visibility into demand risks, potential scenarios, and options for mitigation.
• Enhance demand planning maturity by standardizing processes, inputs, and governance.
• Establish clear demand ownership, inputs, and handoffs to minimize reliance on ad-hoc or reactive planning.
• Assist in the development of roadmaps for demand planning tools and improvements in data infrastructure.
• Document standard operating procedures, forecasting assumptions, and planning methodologies.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Analytics, or a related discipline.
• APICS CPIM, CSCP, or a similar certification is advantageous.
• 5–8+ years of progressive experience in demand planning, forecasting, or S&OP.
• Strong analytical skills with the capability to convert data into actionable decisions.
• Experience collaborating across functions in complex organizations.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel and forecasting tools.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing (pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences, food, aerospace) is preferred.
• Familiarity with either interim or advanced forecasting tools (e.g., statistical models, demand planning platforms).
• Experience in integrating demand planning into enterprise S&OP processes.
