This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Formulate specifications for subcontracting, including work statements and terms for procuring services, specialized materials, and/or equipment.
• Create bid packages and facilitate bidders conferences.
• Evaluate and analyze incoming proposals.
• Conduct price and cost analysis while negotiating subcontract terms.
• Choose or suggest subcontractors, issue awards, and manage the resulting subcontracts.
• Ensure the provision of necessary documentation for accurate receipt recording.
• Negotiate and coordinate changes, additions, or deletions to subcontracts.
• Oversee subcontract funding, invoice processing, and program evaluations in collaboration with functional areas.
• Work in conjunction with contracts, engineering, quality, supplier development, planning, operations, program, and end-user stakeholders.
• Assess and monitor supplier quality, reliability, and their capacity to meet delivery schedules in partnership with the quality organization.
• Identify strategies and opportunities to lower costs, enhance efficiency, and manage risks through focused negotiations.
• Oversee subcontract performance and ensure adherence to public law, company policies, and import/export regulations.
• Employ Lean Six Sigma process tools with suppliers to promote quality, efficiency, and ongoing improvement.
• Manage and cultivate strategic and key supplier relationships.
• Review and authorize supplier payments.
• High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience; OR 2+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree; OR 1+ year of relevant experience with a Master’s degree.
• Experience in supply chain management or related areas, including business and financial planning, contract administration, project management, logistics, or manufacturing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office for creating spreadsheets, documents, and presentations, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and/or complete them concurrently.
• Capability to obtain and retain a Secret security clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory for positions requiring government clearance.
• Preferred: Experience in government or aerospace procurement/buying.
• Preferred: Familiarity with FAR/DFAR regulations.
• Preferred: Understanding of CPSR and government audits.
• Preferred: Experience with aircraft maintenance activities under U.S. Government prime contracts, including spare parts procurement and logistics.
• Preferred: Experience with Import/Export (ITAR) regulations.
• Preferred: Proficiency in SAP.
