This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of GE Vernova's yearly corporate GHG inventory across Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions in alignment with the GHG Protocol.
• Create and uphold internal policies and procedures that govern GHG accounting.
• Gather, analyze, and manage data on carbon emissions, energy, water, and waste throughout various business units.
• Enhance sustainability data quality and foster continuous improvement.
• Assist with CDP submissions, the annual Sustainability Report, and CSRD filings.
• Provide support for data auditing related to voluntary and regulatory reporting.
• Develop impact models for climate initiatives, identify opportunities for emissions reduction, and create dashboards and data tables for senior leadership.
• Collaborate with controllership and data technology teams to automate sustainability data workflows and address reporting discrepancies.
• Keep track of changes to international protocols and standards.
• Educate teams on best practices for carbon data management.
• Aid in the development and revision of enterprise standards.
• Act as an internal resource for guidance on environmental data.
• Report to the Environmental Sustainability Leader and work alongside EHS, Finance, and Data Technology teams.
• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, Statistics, Environmental Science, or a related quantitative field — or equivalent professional experience.
• Significant experience in carbon management and corporate-level emissions accounting.
• Proven expertise in the GHG Protocol (Scope 1, 2, and 3).
• Familiar with U.S. SEC climate disclosure regulations, EU Taxonomy, and CSRD.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Professional certification such as GHG Inventory Quantifier, ISSP-SA, or an equivalent is preferred.
• Knowledge of renewable energy certificates (RECs), carbon offsets, and market-based emissions mechanisms is preferred.
• Experience with enterprise sustainability reporting platforms or automation tools is preferred.
