This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.
• Take full ownership of the deal process from beginning to end.
• Evaluate and authorize standard order forms, discounts, and payment terms to facilitate seamless closures by AEs.
• Oversee complex new deals and renewals involving multi-year agreements, custom payment arrangements, and non-standard terms.
• Collaborate with AEs prior to quote issuance to ensure deals are structured for successful booking and invoicing.
• Serve as the primary contact with our external commercial counsel to review customer redlines and legal correspondence.
• Transform our manual invoice and order form procedures into a streamlined process that allows AEs to operate autonomously, with your review at the final stage.
• Develop checks, templates, and configure CPQ/CRM systems that ensure AE-led deals stay within established parameters.
• Monitor and eliminate bottlenecks for standard requests, whether they occur in HubSpot, Stripe, or our internal workflows.
• Collaborate with the Customer Success team to empower them to manage common invoicing modifications, refunds, and Stripe actions on behalf of customers.
• Create playbooks and establish guidelines so the Customer Success team understands when to act independently and when to consult you.
• Ensure that deals are finalized in a manner that allows Finance to recognize them accurately, with correct billing terms, clear Stripe records, and precise CRM data.
• Work alongside Accounting during month-end reconciliation for any non-standard entries that impact the ledger.
• 3-7 years of experience in deal desk, revenue operations, billing operations, or a related role where you managed the complete quote-to-cash process.
• Proficient in Stripe, including invoicing, subscriptions, refunds, and disputes.
• Practical experience with a CPQ tool and a CRM (HubSpot or Salesforce), specifically in configuring rules and approval workflows.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in spreadsheets; adept at modeling deal terms and identifying anomalies.
• Experience with SaaS subscription billing, particularly with multi-year, education, or nonprofit clients.
• Understanding of the accounting closing cycle, with a recognition of the importance of clean upstream data for downstream processes (Preferred).
• Background in training non-finance colleagues (AEs, CSMs) on billing tools and processes (Preferred).
• Familiarity with utilizing AI tools to enhance efficiency in routine operational tasks (Preferred).
