This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Design, develop, and implement comprehensive AI/ML solutions within production settings.
• Create robust backend systems and APIs that facilitate AI-driven applications.
• Construct and sustain data pipelines along with feature engineering processes.
• Execute and operationalize machine learning models, encompassing training, deployment, and monitoring.
• Utilize cutting-edge AI tools (LLMs, agents, orchestration frameworks).
• Partner with clients to convert business challenges into technical solutions.
• Influence architectural decisions and uphold best practices across various projects.
• Provide mentorship to client team members and assist in enhancing internal capabilities.
• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or machine learning engineering.
• Proficient programming and querying abilities (Python, SQL, PySpark).
• Experience in developing production-quality systems (APIs, microservices, pipelines).
• Practical experience with AI/ML workflows and model deployment.
• Knowledge of contemporary AI/GenAI tools and concepts.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Databricks).
• Strong grasp of data engineering principles (ETL, data modeling, pipelines).
• In-depth knowledge of the Databricks ecosystem (including AgentBricks and Genie - Databricks certifications are highly preferred).
• Experience with LLM frameworks and agent-based architectures.
• Familiarity with modern developer tools (Cursor, AI-assisted development, Langraph, "vibe coding").
• Background in working with data from industrial, utilities, or energy sectors.
