Staff MLOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance infrastructure for extensive 2D and 3D media datasets

• Train machine learning models utilizing large multimodal datasets

• Act as the foundation of the machine learning lifecycle

• Automate, reproduce, and optimize data and training pipelines on a large scale

• Collaborate with ML and Annotation engineers as well as technical program managers to establish infrastructure and training specifications

• Design and sustain CI/CD and continuous training pipelines for sophisticated multimodal models

• Implement strategies for versioning and storage of substantial 2D/3D datasets

• Deploy and oversee monitoring systems to evaluate model performance and data drift in production

• External candidates may need to participate in an in-person interview at an NBCUniversal location prior to a hiring decision

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline

• Over 5 years of experience as an MLOps Engineer working with applied machine learning in a dynamic environment

• Proficiency in Python, Git, and the Unix shell

• Extensive knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and workflow orchestrators like Airflow, Prefect, or Kubeflow

• Familiarity with Jira/Confluence, Slack, and a Git server

• Strong mathematical foundation preferred for comprehending resource demands of 3D data transformations

• Keen attention to detail concerning system reliability and data security

• Capability to translate abstract ML requirements into tangible, scalable cloud or on-premises infrastructure

• Previous experience in complex, multidisciplinary sectors such as robotics, smart grids, precision agriculture, game development, or aerospace

• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada

• Must be open to travel for work-related matters if required
