Senior Database Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Conduct database analysis, design, and administrative tasks to support strategic initiatives aligned with organizational objectives.

• Full-cycle database administration tasks: setting up new MongoDB clusters, optimizing replication, ensuring backup and recovery, applying software patches, and managing schema modifications.

• Work alongside developers on the design of collections, indexes, and SQL queries.

• Provide 24/7 support and engage in the DBA on-call rotation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, with at least 8-10 years of DBA experience.

• Extensive experience with MongoDB, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases.

• Familiarity with databases hosted on Linux systems.

• Knowledge of database architecture and high availability strategies.

• Experience with the Amazon RDS platform.

• Skills in troubleshooting application issues and designing database objects.

• Previous experience in System or Network administration (preferred).

• Knowledge of Oracle or CouchBase (preferred).
