This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead organized sessions for gathering requirements with both internal and external stakeholders to determine data and reporting necessities.
• Convert business inquiries into analytical specifications and user stories.
• Document configurations, processes, procedures, business requirements, data definitions, dashboard specifications, and change logs for databases.
• Establish data validation and quality assurance procedures to guarantee data integrity, accuracy, consistency, and governance.
• Design and implement structures, schemas, tables, views, and indexes for databases.
• Work collaboratively with software developers and system architects to merge databases with applications.
• Conduct exploratory and diagnostic data analysis using SQL, Python, or R.
• Create, develop, and refine prototypes, proof-of-concept dashboards, production dashboards, and reports.
• Facilitate review sessions with stakeholders and integrate feedback into iterative design processes.
• Present insights, findings, and recommendations to technical teams and executive leadership.
• Build and sustain cross-functional relationships with stakeholders as a data-driven decision-making consultant.
• Identify areas for process enhancement, automation, and the adoption of self-service analytics.
• Guide junior analysts in requirements gathering, data storytelling, and dashboard creation.
• Independently oversee tasks from requirements gathering through to implementation while proactively addressing challenges with minimal supervision.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Over 6 years of experience in business/data analysis, requirements gathering, and stakeholder engagement.
• Proficient in creating dashboards and data visualizations utilizing Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or Qlik.
• Strong command of SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Experience in developing prototypes or wireframes for analytical solutions.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with the capacity to simplify technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Capability to manage multiple stakeholders, priorities, and projects simultaneously.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in documenting requirements and specifications.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Common Access Card (CAC).
• Must be able to acquire and maintain a US Government Secret Security Clearance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work across both technical and business teams.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in a related quantitative or business field.
• Preferred: Experience in Python or R scripting/programming.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools, such as Jira or AzureDevOps.
• Preferred: Experience with cloud data platforms including Azure, AWS, Snowflake, or Databricks.
• Preferred: Experience in workshop or design-thinking facilitation.
• Preferred: Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, Power BI, or CompTIA Security+.
