Senior Database Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related discipline, or a bachelor’s degree with further studies in IT

• Understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes

• Familiarity with data structures and the contents of analytical data sources (data warehouse, data mart, etc.)

• Basic knowledge of containers and orchestration using Kubernetes or OpenShift

• Fundamental knowledge of Git and GitLab

• Proficient in Python for development, automation, and data processing

• Strong analytical skills for effective problem-solving

• Excellent communication skills and the capability to collaborate with various departments, including non-technical teams

• Advanced proficiency in Python for data, particularly with libraries tailored for Big Data (e.g., Pandas, PyArrow, PySpark, Polars, DuckDB, SQLAlchemy or similar)

• Advanced knowledge of Apache Software Foundation projects related to data (e.g., Airflow, Spark, Flink, Kafka, Parquet, Iceberg or similar)

• Basic understanding of Linux, Jenkins, and Tekton

• Experience with GitOps and deployment tools such as Argo CD
