Senior Database Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, maintenance, patching, and general support of database systems

• Create and maintain databases and hosts for Production, Development, and various Test environments

• Ensure database availability and recoverability align with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and guidelines

• Rapidly and accurately resolve database issues using all available tools

• Continuously monitor and optimize database performance

• Ensure the integrity and availability of all resources, systems, and key processes

• Support the Disaster Recovery (DR) strategy and maintain a multi-region active-active setup

• Create and assist users in developing Business Intelligence (BI) reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or a related engineering field

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in supporting databases within an enterprise environment, with at least half of that time focused primarily on a PostgreSQL environment

• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL version 15.x and MS SQL 2019/2022

• Experience in supporting a Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) in both Linux and Windows environments

• Demonstrated experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies: Postgres RDS, SQL Server RDS, Aurora RDS, and EC2

• Familiarity with Database High Availability / Replication technologies (e.g., AlwaysOn, Postgres HA)

• Experience in scripting and automation.
