Senior Data Warehouse Specialist, ETL Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for integrating data from various source systems.

• Construct and enhance data warehouses, data marts, and analytics platforms.

• Execute data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and loading to guarantee data quality and accuracy.

• Optimize SQL queries, ETL jobs, and the performance of data processing.

• Assist in data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical) and manage metadata effectively.

• Create and sustain data integration workflows and automation processes.

• Perform data profiling, validation, and testing (unit, integration, performance, data quality).

• Collaborate with data architects, BI developers, business analysts, and QA teams.

• Provide production support, resolve issues, and implement fixes and enhancements.

• Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and federal regulations (FISMA, NIST, FedRAMP).

• Contribute to documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and knowledge transfer initiatives.

• Offer technical leadership and promote best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with ETL/ELT tools (Databricks, DataStage, SSIS, AWS Glue, etc.).

• Advanced SQL skills and database development expertise.

• Familiarity with data warehouse architecture and data modeling practices.

• Practical experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Databricks, Redshift, S3).

• Knowledge of various database platforms (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.).

• Understanding of job scheduling tools (Control-M or similar).

• Background in data quality, governance, and metadata management.

• Comprehension of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and DevOps principles.

• Strong skills in troubleshooting, performance tuning, and analytical thinking.

• Familiarity with federal security and compliance standards (NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP).

• Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities.
