
Senior Analytics Engineer β Finance & Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +1 more state.
β’ Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and the broader Data team to comprehend business processes and source-system workflows, establish pipeline requirements, and pinpoint data gaps along with downstream reporting implications.
β’ Data Infrastructure: Take ownership of the Finance and Operations data layer and develop reliable, reusable data models that facilitate reporting, analysis, and informed decision-making.
β’ Data Integration: Design and document the data flow between source systems such as NetSuite, Ramp, and Pigment into Snowflake and Omni.
β’ Data Quality: Implement validation checks, reconciliation processes, and exception reporting to enhance trust in essential Finance/Ops data across source systems, Snowflake, and Omni.
β’ Metric Governance: Define and oversee key Finance/Operations metrics in collaboration with business owners, including aspects like business logic, data granularity, source of truth, ownership, refresh frequency, and known limitations.
β’ Dashboard Development: Develop and sustain dashboards, ranging from executive summaries to detailed self-service analytics, to convey performance metrics and support root-cause analysis.
β’ Continuous Improvement: Recognize and act on opportunities to automate manual data flows, reporting procedures, and reconciliation workflows.
β’ Experience: Over 5 years in an analytics role, with exposure to financial or operational data sets.
β’ Technical Skills: Proficient in SQL with experience in constructing reusable, well-structured data models in a cloud data warehouse setting, preferably Snowflake; familiarity with BI or semantic-layer tools such as Omni, Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or Sigma.
β’ Data Quality Mindset: Proven experience in validating outputs, reconciling discrepancies, documenting assumptions, and creating checks for crucial metrics.
β’ Business Acumen: Capability to comprehend business processes and translate them into data models, metrics, dashboards, and documentation.
β’ Communication: Excellent stakeholder management abilities, including requirement gathering, expectation management, constructive pushback, and communication of trade-offs.
β’ Adaptability: Comfort in navigating an early-stage or evolving data environment where systems, pipelines, definitions, and ownership boundaries may still be in development.
β’ Preferred:
β’ Familiarity with source-of-truth systems such as ERP (NetSuite), WMS, TMS (OSCA), or CPM (Pigment).
β’ Experience with wholesalers and EDI.
