This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Lithuania.
• Transform intricate data, research insights, and policy documentation into coherent visual narratives.
• Create charts, infographics, factsheets, visual elements for reports, diagrams, and presentation materials.
• Convert analytical briefs, datasets, or draft content into organized and visually appealing outputs.
• Provide guidance to project teams on the most effective formats for conveying evidence and findings.
• Develop polished, client-ready PowerPoint presentations and visual assets.
• Enhance the clarity, consistency, formatting, and visual appeal of reports, proposals, and other project deliverables.
• Contribute, as appropriate, to digital or web-based outputs such as dashboards, data portals, or interactive visualizations.
• Work with Word documents and templates, ensuring that materials are well-organized, clearly formatted, and visually consistent.
• When specialized technical support is required, assist in identifying the right individuals or external expertise and articulate clear requirements for the output.
• A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in data visualization, information design, data storytelling, research communication, data journalism, BI/reporting, or a similar field.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating data-driven visual work, including presentations, factsheets, infographics, report visuals, dashboards, interactive outputs, or data narratives.
• Capability to interpret data, research findings, and analytical content, beyond merely designing around predefined text.
• Established understanding of visual communication principles, encompassing chart selection, hierarchy, layout, accessibility, and audience considerations.
• Proficient in MS PowerPoint and Word, with a solid working knowledge of Excel.
• Expertise in Adobe Illustrator and/or InDesign for high-quality print and digital outputs.
• Familiarity with tools like Flourish, Datawrapper, or similar for creating data-driven charts and graphics.
• Strong written and verbal English skills, with the ability to craft clear titles, captions, labels, and explanatory text, as well as communicate with clients when necessary.
• Ability to work independently from a brief, ask pertinent questions, and propose effective visual solutions.
• Relevant educational background in information design, data visualization, visual communication, data science, statistics, social sciences, journalism, UX/UI, graphic design, or a related area.
• Engaging work on public policy and research initiatives across Europe and internationally.
