This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create, develop, and uphold scalable data pipelines and services utilizing Python along with contemporary data engineering frameworks.
• Construct and enhance ETL/ELT processes to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources into cloud-based data platforms.
• Produce efficient, thoroughly tested, production-grade code to facilitate data ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
• Design and implement data solutions on cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP), making use of managed services for storage, computation, and orchestration.
• Plan, optimize, and manage relational and NoSQL databases to accommodate high-volume, high-availability data workloads.
• Monitor and enhance database and pipeline performance, addressing issues to ensure reliability and scalability.
• Leverage advanced data preparation, modeling, analysis, and visualization techniques to derive insights and knowledge from data.
• Analyze complex business challenges and deliver actionable, data-driven insights to facilitate strategic decision-making.
• Act as a technical leader, offering guidance and mentorship to junior engineers in data engineering and analytical best practices.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams — including Product Management, Business Analysts, and Software Engineering — to design and execute data-driven solutions.
• A four-year college degree in a relevant field with 4 years of experience in a related area, or an advanced degree (Masters or higher) in an applicable field, or equivalent experience may be considered in place of a degree.
• Strong expertise in Python for data engineering, automation, and analysis, encompassing object-oriented design, modular application development, and production-quality coding standards.
• Experience in designing and developing Python-based backend services utilizing FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Solid background in object-oriented practices, APIs, database integrations, and dependency management.
• Practical experience with at least one major cloud service provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including their primary data and storage services.
• Comprehensive experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, including schema design, query optimization, and performance enhancement.
• Documented experience in constructing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows.
• Background in Mortgage Servicing or Financial Services, with an understanding of how technical solutions address business and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across both technical and business teams.
